Problem with Bot

#1 Post by Dwyane Wade »

I have a problem "The comunication to the game with the MACRO funtion seems not to work" "Define in game an empty MACRO at the first MACRO space and assign that to your MACRO hotkey 0"

But I have the empty MACRO at the first space, and the hotkey in slot "0". I try to put this "<option name="IGNORE_MACRO_ERROR" value="true" />" but I have the same problem...and a new problem "bad argument #1...."

Not sure if the 'ignore' option will still work. Without a working MACRO function the bot will not really run. Delete all your files in the folder and do a SVN update to have the newest SVN 357 version. Be sure no modifier key like SHIFT/ALT/CTRL is pressed while the bot starts.

I put the Ignore option in file l1-10.xml

<profile>
<options>
<option name="IGNORE_MACRO_ERROR" value="true" />
<!-- Try the bot with a new char mage -->
<!-- At the pioneer village. Use demo.xml waypoint file -->
<option name="HP_LOW" value="65" />
<option name="MP_LOW_POTION" value="50" />
<option name="HP_LOW_POTION" value="60" />

I update the folder with SVN but the same error happens. I don't press SHIFT; ALT or CONTROL

Then I don't have any idea? Only to check everything ingame. Your hotbar, your key settings. And perhaps deinstall all addons for testing purposes.

And delete your folder 'My Documents/Runes of Magic/<charactername'.

I don't know what I am doing wrong :S

I did that:

1) Download and extract the MicroMacro
2) Update MicroMacro with SVN Checkout
3) Run the game
4) Run the micromacro.exe
5) Write "rom/bot.lua profile:l1-10"
6) Press "SUPR" in the game

Did you check the ingame settings for your hotkey 0. Did your drag and drop the empty macro from macro slot 1 to your hotkey 0 button?

Yes. What is the contents of it (click the Modify button) after starting the bot? What happens if you manually press 0? What shows in the game's chat when the macro is used verse the bot? What about when you click it manually?

If I press SUPR, the button "0" twinkle 2 times, and MM say "comunication seems not to work..." (Video)
If I press "0", nothing happend, and MM don't change
If I press manually, nothing happend, and MM don't change

The keypress '0' seems to reach the client. So I suppose the 'macro 1' is empty. That's also the reason that nothing is shown in the ingame chat.

What RoM Client are you using? What language?

I'm curious what Admin means.

Could some firewall or security software prevent the MM from writing to the Rom client memory?

What do you mean? English for the game client, or for the bot? Prior to fixing your problem, your game client was set to Spanish and the bot for English?

It looks like a bug with the client, then. There is no logical reason why changing the language should effect the memory addresses of macros.
