does pausing then resuming cause bot not to attack it? i usually pull LL from afar and get close to the party to control the spread of the bugs. i would say the scout bot is within 75 range max from LL.

75 is close enough, 200 should be enough. The pause might be part of the problem.
You could pull LL without the I icon, then when it gets closer the partydps chars should defend u and kill LL anyway.
