Not realizing it is stuck!

#1 Post by ConcernedCitizen » Tue May 25, 2010 2:47 pm

I know someone is going to tell me how much of a scrub I am for not innately knowing the solution, but here goes..

Lately I been running in the new zones(Thunderhoof hills), and i notice that the bot is really bad about getting stuck on things and not correcting for it... like yesterday, around 2pm my bot got stuck on a rock.. it could have easily backed up and walked 2 feet to the right or left and gotten around it(or just strafed left or right), but for 4+ hours it kept running straight into the rock.... Needless to say I could read zone chat and people were pointing and laughing...

When i create waypoints I try to steer clear of obstacles, but sometimes the bot kills the mob too fast, and he has to run to loot it, and obstacles get in the way..Always in the past, if he got stuck on something, he would do the unstuck code and get around it, but lately, in the new zones, not so much...

I have completed updates to SVN, so am pretty confident I am on newest release...

Is there a setting somewhere I am missing? Are other people running into this?

Does this only happen while looting or does it happen while traversing waypoints, as well? Any additional information would help.

Hrmmm, I came home to find it stuck, so either it is happening when trying to get within range(175) of the mob to attack it, or it is happening between waypoints. I'm almost positive it isnt to loot, cause doesnt that have a timeout?!?

Yes. You'll have to provide more information.

I caught it last night... it targetted a mob and was running to get within 175 range(so it could use lightning as part of the pull), and it got hung up on a stump and just kept running that way... then 2 other mobs aggrod on my character and she wouldnt untarget the first mob.. Just kept running into that stump. Sat there for a good while, and watched her counterhealing for the damage from the aggro'd mobs, but she couldnt get in range of the first mob so kept running into that stump.

Hope that helps... Here is the waypoints I was running, took about 1-2 hours before it got hung up... Southern Janost, near kandor... beetles, scouts and hunters was my prey...

Code: Select all

<waypoints>
	<!-- #  1 --><waypoint x="-5377" z="19446">	</waypoint>
	<!-- #  2 --><waypoint x="-5501" z="19864">	</waypoint>
	<!-- #  3 --><waypoint x="-5132" z="19866">	</waypoint>
	<!-- #  4 --><waypoint x="-5216" z="20155">	</waypoint>

I'm unable to reproduce it. Next time it happens, take some screenshots of the game client and send them to me via private message. Also include the last 4-5 lines that show up in the MicroMacro console window.
