I have this at the top of my waypoints file. <waypoints type="RUN">
But my character still stops and attacks mobs. It used to work but something seems to have changed.
Any ideas?

Does TRAVEL type still work normally?

TRAVEL acts the same. The character stops to fight when he gets agro.

TRAVEL is definitely broken then. RUN, on the other hand, is supposed to stop and fight any enemies that attack you, but is not supposed to actively search for enemies to fight. Can you fully describe the problem with it?

Hmm, could you maybe set within the character profile so that it only fights lets say a 0 0 level deviation?
or would that just be getting rid of the whole point of a travel file?

i believe its suppose to be the opposite of that,
travel moves and fights back if attacked
run does not fight back
if its not that way its been changed recently, i was using RUN to move while mounted from town to town, all my RUN waypoints files stop to fight now
i use TRAVEL in my harvest paths, and it fights back
so basically at the moment BOTH are fighting back

TRAVEL should now be working again at SVN r405 (Do not fight any enemies). RUN works as it should: Do not target, but fight any attackers. Keep in mind that even if you have TRAVEL type set, you will fight any aggressive enemies while attempting to harvest.

as long as one of the options doesnt fight back, while im mounted and running to town, things are good =D

Hm, I have set TRAVEL for my return and repair paths, and the Bot still thinks I have set RUN. But this don't happen every time.
The problem for me is, that he runs away from a mob, then sometimes there comes 1-2 adds, and then he decide to fight back, this end often with a death :/
Code: Select all
Waypoint type RUN, we don't stop and don't fight back
Moving to waypoint #38, (-19289, 6904)
Engaging enemy [Poisonous Cave Scorpion] in combat.
Moving in | Suggested range: 180 | Distance: 185
Use 6: PRIEST_REGENERATE => Poisonous Cave Scorpion (3745/3745)
Engaging enemy [Poisonous Cave Scorpion] in combat.
Use 1: SCOUT_VAMPIRE_ARROWS=> Poisonous Cave Scorpion (3745/3745)
I am using Rev. 408

Think I found the problem. I need you to test it for me. Open rom/classes/player.lua, go to (CTRL+G) line 1153, you'll see this:
Code: Select all
if( self.Battling and
waypoint.Type ~= WPT_RUN ) then
self:waitForAggro();
end
Change WPT_RUN to WPT_TRAVEL and save it. Let me know if this fixes the problem.

Don't works, now the bot will try to run away from every mob.
Code: Select all
Waypoint type RUN, we don't stop and don't fight back
Moving to waypoint #65, (-18441, 8096)
Waypoint type RUN, we don't stop and don't fight back
Moving to waypoint #66, (-18394, 8365)
Moving to waypoint #67, (-18138, 8599)
Moving to waypoint #68, (-17909, 8862)
Moving to waypoint #69, (-17624, 9084)
Moving to waypoint #70, (-17387, 9119)
Moving to waypoint #71, (-17110, 8912)
Moving to waypoint #72, (-16896, 8836)
Moving to waypoint #73, (-16695, 8781)
Moving to waypoint #74, (-16489, 8674)
Use F3: SCOUT_NECK_STRIKE => Flashing Scale Iguana (4539/4539)
Use 6: PRIEST_REGENERATE => Flashing Scale Iguana (4539/4539)
Waypoint type RUN, we don't stop and don't fight back
Moving to waypoint #75, (-16317, 8483)

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to do. TRAVEL type waypoints are supposed to run from any and all enemies. Do you want to fight them or not?

Hehe I'm a bit confused

, i want that the bot do not target, but fight back when aggro.
In a sticky thread here, i read this:
* TRAVEL, no targeting, still fight back, heal spells/potions
* RUNNING, no targeting, no fight back, heal spells/potions
and the bot says
Waypoint type RUN, we don't stop and don't fight back
that means RUN is for just running and not fighting back if aggroed, or?

It was mixed around. RUN will not target, but fight back. TRAVEL should not be fighting back at all wherever possible.

Okay, now i changed my waypoint types to RUN and the bot will correctly fight back if he gets aggro, with the changed settings in player.lua. Seems i have to change now all my return and repairpaths with RUN

. Thanks for your help!
