What is up with the Homepage/Forum ?

I don't know why but the HP is incredible slow I tried to download a fresh copy of MM1 it is not possible because I had some old experimental copy of MM1 which seems not to work under windows 7 32-bit.( I activated an old PC of mine because my current laptop is constantly overheating)
Are the HP under some kind of DOS attack ?

i removed the files here as they are back in normal location.

I have already I downloaded it by using the add-on "Down them All" which can auto resume failed downloads and the Hick up seems gone now.

I'm not aware of anything happening. The main page(s) and the forum are hosting off the same server, so any problems would have affected both.
There could have been some issues at the DC which might explain high latency and packet loss.

At the time he was having problems I tried the page and it was not working for me also. It may have been a glitch in the dns servers.
