I don't play the game but I know it too
I stumbled on some report in the Internet(like this:http://massively.joystiq.com/2014/12/05 ... -archeage/) a few day ago, basically bitching about bots, exploits, the queue , and a p2w concept and other stuff which brought the game down.
For me it sounds like ROM(from the side of the problems) with just some new ideas. I tried to download it but I hadn't enough free space on my laptop which will resolve hopefully today.
From the view of boting with MM is seems there are only 3 options:
1.) Get past Hackshield which will be fixed sooner or later.(the way through we could wrap into a LUA DLL but even than....)
2.) Using a packet-bot which simulate AA and Hackshield, I think because of this Admin added the socket stuff.
3.) Using a bot like in real life with visual recognition (which I built some stuff in the other MM version).
2 has the problem you have to decode the whole communication between them, extremely low CPU usage because you don't need open the client. You can easily run multiple instanced at the same time.
3 has only limited applications and adding new stuff is hard and the whole thing need some CPU Power and you need to run it in foreground but on the other hand there is no way to close this as an exploit because no code of the other side is involved.
Some other stuff their were some report that on lunch day some other guys had bots ready on that day is that true(or they just talking about the planting script)?
