RoM server Patch 4.0.3. - The Mighty Shield.

On Tuesday, 4th of October 2011, all European Runes of Magic servers will go down for our weekly maintenance and the installation of a new update - Patch 4.0.3. - The Mighty Shield.


Keep in mind that things might not work 100% after the patch.

How big is this patch going to be? Hopefully it doesn't completely change things again. Either way, thanks for the heads-up.

Removed the addresses I put here as the offsets changed which will take me a little longer to fix. So no point giving everyone the addresses and not offsets.

just as a heads up I won't be able to find new addresses and such until around 17 hours from now.

People will just have to be patient, or maybe find the new addresses themselves =)

The EU maintenance is usually about 5 hours. The AU is usually 2 hours. I haven't looked at the EU site but the AU one still says 2 hours.

    Balancing of Knight skills - Damage output adjustments
    Holiday Event: The Juice Festival

Adjustments & Changes

Knight
The overall damage dealt by knights was low, which resulted in upgrading being not as efficient as for the other classes. Adjustments were made to the basic damage values of the general knight skills that are used most often: Holy Strike, Holy Seal and Disarmament. As a result, the damage dealt after upgrading the skills has increased.

    Knight skill Holy Seal
        Original Effectiveness:
        Enchants your weapon with the holy power of Light. Afterwards your weapon does Light damage and it can put a Holy Seal on your target. (maximum of 3 Holy Seals)
        Current Effectiveness:
        Originally the damage was fixed and did not increase when the equipment was being enhanced. After the adjustment the damage increases when the weapon is being enhanced.
    Knight/Scout skill Holy Strike
        Original Effectiveness:
        power level = 1
        Inflicts (84%) main hand weapon DPS and puts a Light Seal for 10 seconds on the target. (Each skill level adds to aggro)
        power level = 70
        Inflicts (360%) main hand weapon DPS and puts a Light Seal for 10 seconds on the target. (Each skill level adds to aggro)
        Current Effectiveness:
        power level = 1
        Inflicts (67.5%) main hand weapon DPS and puts a Light Seal for 10 seconds on the target. (Each skill level adds to aggro)
        power level = 70
        Inflicts (462%) main hand weapon DPS and puts a Light Seal for 10 seconds on the target. (Each skill level adds to aggro)
    Scout/Knight skill Disarmament
        Original Effectiveness:
        power level = 1
        Inflicts (53.5%) ranged weapon DPS to the target and reduces its armor value by 3% for 8 seconds. Can be stacked 4 times.
        power level = 70
        Inflicts (295%) ranged weapon DPS to the target and reduces its armor value by 3% for 8 seconds. Can be stacked 4 times.
        Current Effectiveness:
        power level = 1
        Inflicts (69.5%) ranged weapon DPS to the target and reduces its armor value by 3% for 8 seconds. Can be stacked 4 times.
        power level = 70
        Inflicts (383.5%) ranged weapon DPS to the target and reduces its armor value by 3% for 8 seconds. Can be stacked 4 times.

Other Classes

    Warden/Druid Elite skill “Natural Spring”: Now the healing effect increases significantly with the increase of the skill level.

    Warrior skill Shield Bash: adjustments to the required TP points for level-up. Comparing to the similar skills, it required way too much TP points.

Item Adjustments

Adjustments to the following equipment: Physical and Magical Critical Hit changed from 208 to 160 points.

    Suppression Helmet of the Fort
    Pulverizing Helm of the Fort
    Vengeance Leather Helmet of the Fort
    Wisdom Headdress of the Fort
    Tribute Hat of the Fort
    Suppression Plate Armor of the Fort
    Pulverizing Chain Armor of the Fort
    Vengeance Leather Armor of the Fort
    Wisdom Robe of the Fort
    Tribute Gown of the Fort
    Suppression Shoulder Armor of the Fort
    Pulverizing Chain Shoulder Armor of the Fort
    Vengeance Leather Shoulder Armor of the Fort
    Wisdom Cloth Shoulder Armor of the Fort
    Tribute Shoulder Guards of the Fort
    Suppression Heavy Boots of the Fort
    Pulverizing Light Boots of the Fort
    Vengeance Leather Boots of the Fort
    Wisdom Long Boots of the Fort
    Tribute Long Boots of the Fort

Bug Fixes

    Correction of Battle Ground and Guild War PK Protection Bug
        Before adjustment: If players did have the PK Protection Buff and entered the battle ground or the guild war, the buff remained so that other players were not able to attack these players.
        After adjustment: If players have the PK Protection Buff and enter the battle ground or the guild war, the PK Protection buff will be cleared.
    Now when player use the following items to destroy the gate in the Siege War (Zone402), the Castle Gate Construction Point won’t vanish again:
        Summon: Meteor Shower
        Summon: Rain of Flaming Arrows
        Summon: Thunder Bonecracker

    Summon: Meteor Shower: Increased the basic damage that is based upon on the user’s Intelligence.
    Scouts will now correctly become visible when using Ignite under the effects of a invisibility potion
    Characters are now correctly positioned on the Torex mount
    The Luzan Hunter which could not be attacked can now be killed again
    Fountain of Experience can now be transformed in an orb again
    Ghost Guard Dogs in the minigame of Sascillia Steppes should no longer spam debugmessages
    Relationship:
        When you’re having 2 Lover relations in the same party, the lowest relationship level will no longer overwrite the highest relationship level.
        Master & Disciple Relationship buffs can now be active at the same time
    At coordinates 65.9/17.3 in Savage Lands you will no longer be underwater

In the inofficial patchnotes of the german forum are reports that skills can no longer be casted via macro (castskillbyname). I am at work now so I can not verify.

The macro interface has been changed badly, for diyce I cant get any attacks to work - I guess this will have implications for the use of macro interface here.

bot doesn't work after the patch anymore... obviously^^
tried the "fixaddresses.bat" but it gives me the following error: "Unable to find 'pawnHarvesting_offset' in module."
any way to get around this error and get the bot working again?

Even if you cut the line out (and anotherone pawnMountblabla), you can run fixadresses without error,
but the start gives:
Loading profile Default.xml
MACRO Test: ok
scripts/rom/classes/memorytable.lua:7: bad argument #2 to 'memoryReadIntPtr' ((n
ull))

Please enter the script name to run.
Type in 'exit' (without quotes) to exit.
so more changed ;)

Hey, stay pation - the guys here will keep workin on this problem.

I can affirm: macros doesn't work - F(rog/uck)ster has patched them out!

/cast und UseAction() not working. Smells like this time some more must be done than fixed addresses to get the bot running.

Not now Guild wars 2 is not out atm. Need to stay little longer in this game :D

if CastSpellByName no longer works then we will have to go back to using hotkeys with skills. No big deal.

Just be patient everyone, I will know more tomorrow when I actually get the patch and can see what damage has been done.
