daily bot

#1 Post by whodaman » Mon Jun 13, 2011 12:37 am

hey guys,

so i have a script for the elf daily, "helping them grow", that I want to use and it says that the required level for the quest is lvl 2, but I can't see the quest when I click on the quest person at lvl 2, I even tried leveling up a character to 7, and I still couldn't see it.
Are you only able to see the quest when you're level 10?

Thankss

not seeing daily quests usually means you have completed the 10 daily quests alloted for that day. Resets at around 6am server usually

I thought you had to do the quests up to that person to be able to do them. My script has an "Elf Start" part that does the tutorial and and the first quests to that helping them grow NPC.

For me it's 2pm currently. Seeing we are both aussies it must depend on the server.

yeah it's deff by server time, middle east resets 1pm my time.

There may also be prequests like Miesterman said, I don't do elf dailys so I couldn't say about that.

It works great, but I think that putting TYPE = RUN beside the waypoints is better because the character tends to kill everything it sees, which makes it slower.
Thanks Misterman for the great work

EDIT: never mind, the type = run doesn't work, it still kills monsters along the way T.T

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <waypoints type="RUN">
if you don't do it exact then it won't work. RUN has to be all capitals, type has to be all lower case.

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that I use a profile that sets target monster max and min level to -1.

This quest and the route to it don't require killing things.

This is what I threw together, just 1 file to do the elf dailys even if new character.
I use the userfunction for accept quest by name.

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><waypoints type="TRAVEL">
	<!-- #  1 --><waypoint x="31953" z="3272" y="22">		player:target_NPC("Gamunhan");
		AcceptQuestByName("getting to know yourself")
		player:target_NPC("Gamunhan");
		CompleteQuestByName()
	</waypoint>
	<!-- #  8 --><waypoint x="31987" z="3368" y="6">	</waypoint>
	<!-- # 22 --><waypoint x="32061" z="3391" y="5">	</waypoint>
	<!-- # 23 --><waypoint x="32212" z="3354" y="28">	</waypoint>
	<!-- # 24 --><waypoint x="32288" z="3346" y="28">		player:target_NPC("Daily Quest Manager");
		AcceptQuestByName()
		player:target_NPC("Daily Quest Manager");
		CompleteQuestByName()
	</waypoint>
	<!-- # 29 --><waypoint x="32264" z="3338" y="28">	</waypoint>

If they are new characters, which i suspect they are, then they will probably need the bot to be started once on each character, after that they should work fine with load next char.
Remember no matter you do in life to always have a little fun while you are at it ;)

Really? Why is that?

kuripot, do you get an error message?

For your menu flashing point u can read
http://www.solarstrike.net/phpBB3/viewt ... =21&t=2788

That problem seems to be linked with lag.
Removing some code from functions.lua solves the problem temporarily. I just use daily script and it works fine for me. Not sure if it creates problem for any other functionality. In the end of thread rock5 suggested to increase if u are sure your lag will never go beyond that value. In my case lag seems to be huge when script is running for long time e.g. 4-5 hours so that was not feasible for me.

btw anyone got the problem of rom client crash when u cycle through many accounts and chars my client always crashes after cycling through 3 accounts and 3-4 chars on 4th account (which is total of 27-28 accounts).

Yes, I usually can get through 2 accounts without crashing. Usually somewhere in the 3rd it crashes. It's got nothing to do with the bot. If you cycled through those accounts manually it would crash the same. Nothing we can do.

Yeah this problem seems to be more related to bad coding of rom. But if you are crashing at different number of chars maybe we can get some settings to increase this number.
I run 4 bot clients at a time at lowest settings possible.
Pagefile allocated 6GB (increased to 12 but it dint help with crash point). I noticed that before crashing my pagefile usage reach beyond 4GB but well below 6GB.
