Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
make sure you don't have any antivirus monitoring (real time protection), if I do it takes a good 10 mins to start the game and it hangs at the exact same spot as your image.

Hm I think I starting to understand why DP removed hackshield.

Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
I'm able to load the game and get in but get disconnected fairly quickly. Any suggestions on that?
Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
I'm not sure the main problem is I think Hackshield without it thinks would run very smooth.
What I can say is thishttp://www.ownedcore.com/forums/mmo/arc ... eld-2.html
Did someone test this( I can't read it can you?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cw3fHyVZpNE

Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
Would anyone know what would be causing VMware's screen to flash white while ArcheAge is running?

Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
Is that the ArcheAge window that's flashing white, or the whole VM screen in general?
Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
The whole VM window, but only while ArcheAge is running. If I point the camera strait up or down in-game, the flashing stops. Maybe something to do with trying to display too many textures?

Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
It could be a driver issue with VMware. Does it help if you turn the graphics level down to absolute minimum?
Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
They are already at the lowest I can get and everything is at the lowest resolution it will go. I'll try updating my graphics card and see if it impacts it, though i doubt it.

Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
I had the same problem about the flickering ingame. I found out that you need to lower graphics to lowest settings plus enable HDR effects in Archeage settings. Flickering went away after that.
Re: Run ArcheAge in a virtual machine
Ahhh, that worked! Thank you! I had never used that option due to shitty graphics card and just wanting everything off ^.^Bluedragon wrote:I had the same problem about the flickering ingame.
