AVG picks up lua51.dll as trojan horse

#1 Post by shavas » Wed Jul 28, 2010 8:28 pm

Either i am infected with something (unlikely), or the latest updates to avg have picked this up now. Since i have had micromacro installed for nigh on 2 years now (i do update it when new versions come out) in some shape or form, i tend to think avg is getting a false positive. Any chance of a repacked DLL file to stop this.

Cheers.

I've sent a report to AVG. Hopefully they'll fix it soon. In the meantime, you can just disable your Resident Shield.

If you wish to report a false positive, you can do it like this:
  • * Open AVG User Interface.
    * Choose the "Virus Vault" option from the "History" menu.
    * Right-click the false positive file and select the "Send to analysis" option from context menu.
    * Fill in your e-mail address
    * Confirm the dialog
