Inventory Won't Update

Hey all, I've recently encountered an interesting issue that prevents the rombot from updating the inventory. Revision 476 is the most recent one that works for me atm.

Any version with the new memory address inventory does not work. The inventory update always returns with all the bag slots empty. I first noticed it when running Rock's Miller Chicken Script, the bot would not stop harvesting "Sack of Feed". I then realised that since I updated the bot this morning, it hadn't been using any pots either.

I've looked into and tried fooling with the waypoint script and then poked around in the inventory class looking for the problem. I made it print what it read from the inventory and it read every single slot as "empty". I tried restarting my computer but the error persists.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
PBW

Hi @ all,
it seems there is an Bug with 64 Bit Sysems with the new Bag Update Function.
On 32 Bit Systems it runs fast and fine but on my Windows 7 64 Bit , there us no way to check the bags with the new Version.

Agreed! That's definitely what's causing it. I'm running vista on a 64 bit system as well.

I'm using XP64 and it works for me. Provide a copy of your log.txt from the micromacro folder.

There is, sadly, nothing usefull in that log, i gonna need some more info to get whats going on here...
First of all, please get a fresh copy from SVN and lets start fresh (i mean download it in a new folder to be absolutely sure that is truly fresh). With that new copy start the bot and check if there is any kind of errors when loading item tables (it should print any erro that happen there) if there is no errors in there then i'll send you a little patch to help debugging whats going on in your game memory, might be a change in some address (i don't think so but...)
Please let me know when you have done this and we will continue from there.

P.S.: Sorry to answer this late but i went off for a few days...

I knew there has to be something weird, do a right click on addresses.lua then go to Tortoise SVN -> Revert.
After that, run rom/bot.lua, do not run rom/update.lua nor rom/bot.lua update, there is no need to update addresses.lua with current SVN.
Please double check that addresses.lua is green before running the bot and let me know what happened.

I created a new folder, updated it with rev 482 and tried running the bot but on startup it read "Table could not be found for ID: 1120403456" after reading your post i checked the address file and noticed it wasn't green. I tried to SVN update that specific file and it loaded rev 482 but it still didn't turn green. Theres obv a problem w/ the addresses. Hope that helps.

Oh, and im running Windows 7 now :)

Do not update addresses.lua, just revert, if you right click on it and go to the Tortiose SVN menú, you should see the revert option.

The weird part is, if you downloaded from SVN it should be green, are you sure that you not running any update command when starting the bot? just rom/bot.lua?

ok, so my adresses.lua is green, and i have fully updated the bot, im sure of that cuz i just had problems with the rock5 miller farm script (which are solved perfectly kudos to Rock5 ^^) but since ive been busy with the harvesting, and haven't leveled for a while with the bot, i now notice that indeed my bot is not finding my MP pots... when im at merchant it always buys more, even tho i have 200 in my bag :O

any idea how i can fix this (maybe edit something in a file to check for mp pots instead of updating my inventory (work around that did work for the miller farm script (bypassed the inventory update, and looked for the feeding bags/MP pots instead)

or is there already a fix for the inventory update not working correctly?

Just tell me wich MP pots you have, i'll look into update functions to see why is not finding those...
The empty bags error has gone away now, isnt?

im using the lvl 51 Elemental Spirit stones, but if it wasnt finding the feeding bags, and its also not finding the MP pots, isnt there something wrong the the inventory update function? or is it possible that it is just not finding specific items?

what rock5 did for me to fix the feeding bag update was changing the line

inventory:update()
if 1 > inventory:getItemCount(204789) then -- Get more feed

to

repeat feedsacks = RoMScript("GetBagItemCount(204789)") until feedsacks
if 1 > feedsacks then -- Get more feed

so its actually not updating my inventory, but looking for the bags, and that IS working, so i believe there maybe an error in the inventory:update() function...

No, no error in inv update, i'm also using those stones and its working just fine, it looks like for somevery specific cases its not working as expected, but i have to say those cases are a very small percent of users, so it is hard to debug, when you say its not finding pots you mean that the bot says there is no usable pots in your bag or simply not drinking any?

EDIT: Ok i found a problem in there, not sure why that happens but the bot is unable to drink any mana pots in some situations, the weird part is that the macro gets writen correctly, so if you click on it, it works but, for some reason is not getting called after writing...
Just uploaded a small fix for that, update from SVN and if its still not working please upload your log.txt i just added logging to that to check whats going on...

!! Notice: !!
The game may have been updated or altered.
It is recommended that you run rom/update.lua...
I don't get it, if you get the latest SVN revision, that message does not appear, how is possible to be there? My first guess is that something is not right there... addresses.lua is green checked?

I don't know if this would cause a problem but what version of the game client are you running?
