is the any function Between 1 and 9?
I have searching in Lua manual but didnt found

I'm looking for function like
if (x > 1 and x <9) --> 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
in other programming language, there is function BETWEEN AND (If I remember there is one in SQL)

There's nothing wrong with that statement, besides the missing 'then'.
