That error indicates conflicting files. Try Lisas instructions in her signature again. Maybe you didn't do them properly.

hmm tried it again no luck. I am pretty sure it is the address file as it does not have the check mark. Can someone post the new address file?

Well I see there might be a problem with the Warden Pet aspect in the game.
When I try to use my warden pet in my profile

Code: Select all

<skill name="WARDEN_POWER_OF_THE_OAK"          hotkey="MACRO" priority="100" />
<skill name="WARDEN_SUMMON_CHIRON_THE_CENTAUR"   hotkey="MACRO" priority="90" />

I will give me this

Code: Select all

Clearing target.
Moving to waypoint #45, (7074, 736)
Moving to waypoint #46, (6953, 656)
Use MACRO: WARDEN_POWER_OF_THE_Did not find any crashed game clients.
4:5pm - ...ktop/RomBot 2012/scripts/rom/classes/memorytable.lua:122: attempt to
compare number with boolean

Please enter the script name to run.
Type in 'exit' (without quotes) to exit.
Script>
Now if I take the Warden Pet out of my Profile then it works just right.

Working like a charm. Haven't noticed any hiccups multiboxing this morning and early afternoon, althought most of what I've been running is farming via kills/egging, I haven't tested wander or harvesting. Seems to be doing just fine though. :)

That error is saying that you are calling the function GetIdName() with boolean for arg1, default bot doesn't do that at all.
So maybe follow my signature instructions or maybe you have some code in onskillcast or onskillprecast ?

I'll test it again just to make sure but I don't see that error occuring with current bot code.

If the file has no green tick/yellow icon or red icon then delete the file and do SVN update on rom folder.
This can happen sometimes when a file is replaced from another source other than SVN update.

If it doesn't have the check mark then you are not reverting properly. What steps exactly are you doing?

Just so you understand what happened, let me explain it to you. Before 703, you updated the bot and then changed some addresses as per this posts instructions, to get it working. When 703 came out you did an SVN update. When TortoiseSVN tries to merge the files, it finds that the lines it wants to edit have already been edited by you so it doesn't know what to do. That's when you get a conflict. What it does then is add some xml comments in the file. xml comments start with a <. In lua files like the addresses.lua file, it will cause an error such as what you got. But even in xml files it will cause errors because of where those lines are placed. Basically conflicting files are not supposed to be used until the conflict is resolved. The easiest way to do this is to right click a file or the whole rom folder and select "TortoiseSVN/Revert" and revert all the changed files. What this does is, remove all user changes and make the files exact copies of the repository.

Hope that helps explain things.

Are you saying that in those cases a revert doesn't work?

Correct, if there is no icon at all on the file anymore it means it has been "lost" from the SVN info. Deleting the file and then doing a SVN update will make it download the file fresh.
If no icon on file you could do SVN update and revert 1000 times and it won't help.
Seems to only occur if you have replaced the file with another, not edited just completely replaced.

I don't think replacing just a file will cause a problem because the svn info is saved in the hidden "svn" folders. Maybe if you copy a folder and the "svn" folder is missing or from a different bot revision or different svn version, then I can understand that causing problems.

I am on v703, but I am still seeing what others have reported where the bot gets stuck in "Clearing Target". It seems to happen more when in a party. I'll try to use a clean profile tomorrow, but using old profile and old waypoint file that worked flawlessly before latest patch.

Lisa, have you tried running multiple bots (like 3-5) doing the same waypoint file / mobs simultaneously? Is there a way to have verbose / debug messages turned on?

If you start with using "debug" then it should give you some prints.
as an example WP at

Code: Select all

rom/bot path:at debug
This doesn't do all debugging prints though,
in order to turn on all debuging prints you can do that in your profile.

Code: Select all

			DEBUG_INV = false, -- to help to find the item use error (only temporary option while beta)
			DEBUG_LOOT = false,	 			-- debug loot issues
			DEBUG_TARGET = false, 			-- debug targeting issues
			DEBUG_HARVEST = false, 			-- debug harvesting issues
			DEBUG_WAYPOINT = false, 		-- debug waypoint issues
			DEBUG_AUTOSELL = false, 		-- debug autosell issues

			DEBUG_SKILLUSE = {
				ENABLE 		= false,
				TIMEGAP = true, -- show the time gap between cast starts
				ONCOOLDOWN	= true, -- show the time in ms that we are before the cooldown
				NOCOOLDOWN	= true, -- show the time in ms that we are over the cooldown
				HPLOW		= true
				},
So something like

Code: Select all

<option name="DEBUG_TARGET"				value="true" />

I rarely get in game much at all now days, I literally logged on earlier just to test the clear target issue. Ran it for a couple of minutes and it never paused at all, so I don't know what the issue might be for you guys.
Unless I can recreate it myself I will find it hard to fix it.
