Blade and Soul

I don't give up I found something new what sounds more interesting:


Maybe I should discripe it with text before you click the links so far I saw flying like Aion but more smooth, fighting like GW 2 or DP, graphic like Tera , wall climbing and over water running like some Kung-fu MMO and some *hust* nice character creation like Scarlet Blade but not limited to that.

So far I heard NCSoft will take full control of the IS shop. In Asia it is realised since a while what they said is that you can 95% of the stuff with the in-game currency only premium skins are for money and a vip membership which gives you more exp and gold the more stuff you buy with both of the currencies up to 30%.

GF has at this point no hands on it. If this is true I can only speculate why NCSoft goes through such length meaning their U.S and Asian version of their other products run much better than the EU's

Anyway I'm careful optimistic about that product graphic like Terra , a lot of setting for creating your character , big open-world and hopefully not so aggressive money politic like we see from GF. and I need a new PC :shock:

I will post new videos later this is just character creating in over an hour (wush the options) :D

Definitely looks good. And some interesting mechanics, such as the gliding and the picking of enemies during combat.

There isn't some fix date but I read on their FB page that the close beta test will be this fall and the start will be at winter. A open beta test won't be happening because like they said this is a complete game that already running since a while in Asian(Japan, China, Korea...). The Asian are at the 6 chapter we will at start have until 3.

It seems you can customize your emotes (or at least a wide range of them) which resulted in countless music videos which plays in the MMO.
For me taste the bodys reflexes too much sun they often looks like either made out of plastic or completely in oil on a unnatural level XD

Okay back to topic I found the wiki for the western region http://bladeandsoul.gamepedia.com/Blade_%26_Soul_Wiki it isn't complete but together with the other infos. I could make me a overview about PvP, arena pvp is balanced like it is in wow with equalized gear. Open Pvp is not but so far I could see there is no real penalty for dying besides losing some pvp points/currency(like honor in rom).

I took a look in this because how they set it up was for me problem point in NW and ArcheAge about what you can loose , what you can gain , and how long it takes to jump back if you want too continue the fight and what does it with the community. Open PvP is for DQ and with those point you can buy either skin or stats.

The other point of each f2p MMO is how it is implemented okay we will see.

Stats and skins aren't bound together like in other MMO/games. It's like you seek not only stats for the gear but also you seek the perfect skin for your char :roll:

I'm not into PvP but that looked like a good PvP video.

I did see that there is equalization in PvP. Not sure how that works but I assume it's a good thing.

I may be mistaken but it looks like you can move while casting skills. That's nice as the rooting animations was 1 of the annoying things about Tera.

I think the summoning animation is cute. She cries then gives the pet a bit of affection when it arrives.

I like the gliding and running up walls. Anything that aides in traveling is good. The flying leaps are cool too.

It's funny seeing the pet doing CPR on the players. :)

I can say Open PvP is something I don't like when you must quest through such a zone I think Raiderz and Aion have such Zones.
Arena PvP in Neverwinter it was a quick way to get some real nice gear , the Open PvP zone later wasn't great implemented too many lags, respawn point too far away , repair cost for every dead and because you need to choose fraction before entering the zone your party making was screwed up because you can't make a party with someone from the other fraction. This was mainly for healers an issues because they had a really ruff time there normally you have everywhere in NW random parties but there only the healer seeked and half of them where on the wrong fraction.( The open pvp zone was a sub-part of a larger pve zone).

NW rooted the chars also on nearly every range attack GW2/DP have another approche like this B&S .
By the way this class in the video is the summoner class which it seems is the current OP class for B&S. I don't know if we get them at start but they are the equal to ROM's warden only those animal people can be summoners. I'm not sure how hard it is to level but classes in this game are limited by races and genders it kinda the opposite way to Gildwars and ArcheAge.

The real test for this MMO f2p design is how big they choose to make the block about the stats like in other MMORPG it can fail when you upgrade. We will se but thats the question how much cost it in money or time to progress with it ? I mean you can calculate the MMO where I were had cost between 70 and 130 Euro the month when you making your end-content equip ready every 3-4 months. When wow cost 15 euro the month this is way too much. It is a bit complicate to compare e.g. in NW you need only pay for the enchantments once but than they got the artefacts which with every new content came new out and you needed also upgrade them. Your can also make this calculation for hours when you play f2p but in the end it is this what makes bot and goldsellers so demanded. If somebody needs a number I would say 20-30 a month is okay.

This is where most f2p MMORPGS fail the tend to get too greedy and than most players left the MMO in very short time because unlike when ROM started most players know these days how the game looks like. This is also where I'm still careful about this MMO.

I remember trying this game out during its earliest stages. I remember having to download an english translation patch and the server was something like a private one. If memory serves, that was even before I started playing RoM which was 3 or so years ago, I think. So this game has been around for quite a while.

I remember the glide feature. Was pretty cool when I first tried it back then. Hope they can launch successfully in the west. I'll definitely give the latest version a try.

When you reach level 15 in B&S (and earlier), you can choose a faction. There are only PvP servers and depending on your faction people can kill you, so basically it's open PvP.

However, you picking a faction is never permanent, it's actually dependant on which outfit you're currently wearing. There are outfits that make you neutral to everyone which prohibits them from attacking you. For example, in the first area of the game you can find the costume of the bandits that linger in the area, wearing that not only makes the mobs friendly to you, it also lets you do quests for the bandits in that area, while the townsfolk is hostile to you (and anyone else that wears their costume).

So in a sense, you can prevent open PvP as long as you don't switch your costume to the local ones.

Maybe not that bad here but the other night, on one of my nightly walks, I did notice the cars parked outside were covered in frost. I actually walk over and scratched one. It was solid ice. I hadn't noticed that before. I wonder how the owner would deal with it in the morning. Maybe pour some water from a kettle over the windshield?

I can tell you how we do it but I think you guys will simple not have it.
1.) An ice scraper with this you can free your windshield very fast.
2.) Turn on the heat in your car in direction of your windshield this takes longer but works as well but must done anyway.
3.) You need anti-freezing agent in your cleaning injector system.

Out cars have heatings coils in the back window as well.

For sure if you are hassled by ice on the windshield often it might be worth getting a scrapper. I think you're right, they might not be available in Australia. Ebay yields 0 results for Australia.

Using the heater is obvious but if you're in a hurry to get to work, it might be too slow. Of course you could go turn on the car and heater before you finish getting ready. That assumes you are aware that it was that cold last night.

So antifreeze makes ice melt. I just assumed it was for stopping things freezing. :D

To get back on topic, I saw a video that shows multiple attacks mapped to each attack key. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2b6oyBRizNg. If that makes it easier for me to play with less buttons it might actually be playable for me with my MS. Which is good because I really like the look of the game.

Antifreeze can help to melt ice but I thought more when it is still could and you drive the car with normal water it will simply freeze over when it is too cold.

I know about the states this is what I was talking about the skills in the other topic here : http://bladeandsoul.gamepedia.com/Summoner you can see that the same button have different function depending on the state of the player. I simple solved it by overloading the buttons with different skills and put the states as requirement on the skills.
