FAQ
  • Q Where can I get MicroMacro?
A Well, that's a silly question. The download page is a good start.

Q How can I edit scripts?
A You can open the scripts in just about any text editor. LuaEdit (found here) is recommended. If you do not want to use LuaEdit, you can just use notepad.

Q Does MicroMacro work with Windows Vista?
A Yes. It does. However, you must make a few adjustments.
In order to get MicroMacro to run properly in Vista, you must change some settings. First, right click on micromacro.exe, and select Properties. Now, check "Run as Administrator", and run in compatiblity mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2. Now you can open micromacro.exe and all should work just fine.
    Q Will MicroMacro work with <insert game>?
A Probably. MicroMacro is built in such a way that it is compatible with most games. Many online games come with protection software such as GameGuard or Hack Shield. MicroMacro is not built to evade these types of software, and may be blocked. It is up to you to find a bypass.

Q What are some of the features of MicroMacro?
A It provides an assortment of input functions, process & memory functions, timers, and more. This means you can write a script for just about any purpose with relative ease. You can move and click the mouse, press/release keys on your keyboard, read and write memory directly to another process, and read/draw directly to the screen. MicroMacro makes use of Lua scripting, so you also have the added functionality of all of Lua. You can find a full list of Lua functions at the bottom of this page: http://www.lua.org/manual/5.1/

Q This script was working for <insert game> just yesterday, and now it is telling me something about invalid input. I didn't change anything! What's wrong?
A It depends on how your script works, and the game. Online games typically have frequent updates which may change the inner workings of the game. If you are using readMemory* or readMemory*Ptr in your script, it is possible that there was an update. This means that the memory addresses probably changed. You should either contact the script writer and ask for help, or use a memory editing software such as ArtMoney to find the new addresses.

Q An error occurred in MicroMacro. The log shows some error code numbers. What do these numbers mean?
A A full list of system error codes can be found on MSDN.

Q I would like to upload/share this software on other websites and/or forums. Is this acceptable?
A Yes. Actually, it would be appreciated. I just ask that you provide a link back to http://www.solarstrike.net either in a forum post, or in a help file that you have included. It is not required; just preferred.

That's the wrong link. 'project', not 'projects': https://solarstrike.net/project/micromacro

Where did you see that link?
